Taverna El Glop @ c/ de Sant Lluís, 24

Estel, a Catalan friend, suggested me this place for its “very good and typical Catalan food” and as well for their “best paella in Barcelona”. Went there for the very first time some years ago when Leo and I were in Barcelona for a few days, then visited again many times, including for the AGG re-union, and almost every time I have friends visiting. I tried other paellas around the city, and still I like theirs best (not to mention their arroz negro, it is simply delicious). Try also the homemade sangria, light and refreshing. Their portions are not human however, so beware: if you are three and order paella for two as well as one starter each you will have an hard time finishing everything! But you can always ask to bring home the leftovers (I had paella for lunch at work on Monday!)
