ImageDSCN4047Had a really lovely night out last night with a group of the other practicantes from the language school, heading straight out from work to an open-air concert at the University of Barcelona. It was held in the gardens at the back of the building which offered a truly beautiful setting, making it incredibly atmospheric with overhanging trees and fairy lights before the music had even started. And when it did start it was amazing. The act was ‘Esperit!’, described on his web page as a ‘home-orquestra’  who takes inspiration from a number of sources including folk and the circus, and he certainly seemed to be more than the sum of his parts as he got the crowd going with his instrumental tracks where he deftly switched from instrument to instrument, with any mistakes or lapses just seeming to increase the audience’s enjoyment. I’ve never seen anyone look so happy…
